Traffic is the one thing you need to your website. Without it you may as well pack it in!
If you are not generating traffic, you are not making money, they go hand in hand. Now I know that there are still ways to make money using other means and less traffic, but I am talking about the vast majority of affiliate marketers out there, who do not have massive lists (a topic for another day), or have money to spend on PPC, etc., (more topics for the future).

So how do you get traffic? Well, there are many, many ways. So many ways in fact that I don;t have the time, or the depth to provide it all in one blog entry. So I am going to split this up into several blogs and hope that you can bear with me while I finish the series. So lets get started, traffic tip #1 -
Traffic – Submitting Articles
Using articles to build backlinks to your website. Articles are very useful for creating backlinks, and in addition, they are also extremely useful for getting new pages and websites indexed.
New article directory content tends to be indexed by search engines very rapidly because the article directories are such busy sites. You will include in your article a direct link to your new page or website and that link will be followed by all the search engine spiders. This will almost always get your new content indexed very quickly.
So make sure your take advantage of this very useful SEO tactic to get your pages and websites noticed by the search engines. Of course this is one of the methods that will improve your rankings.
